Blake pondered, ‘When Madelyn left, she had blood on her body.

Blake pursed her lips. She thought of Liam and asked, “Can I talk to my friend for a moment?” 

“Until your suspicion is cleared, neither you nor your friend can leave 

unless someone can vouch that this has nothing to do with you two,” the officer responded. 

The only person Blake could think of who could help them was Kevin. 

Blake believed only Kevin knew exactly what happened in the room at

She called Kevin. After half a minute of ringing, he still did not answer
