Chapter 101 

Early in the morning, Felix was leisurely strolling through the park in Tabiner Bay, breathing in the fresh air. 

After a short walk, he paused. His attention was caught by an elderly man who was standing nearby. Beside the old man was a beautiful woman, and a middle–aged man stood a few steps behind them. 

“This old man.” 

Felix studied the elderly man for a moment, hesitating before he finally decided to approach. 

“Grandpa, what do you think of Tabiner Bay?” the woman asked, her bright eyes sparkling. 

The old man nodded approvingly as he looked around. “It’s nice and peaceful. It’s a good place to spend my retirement. But, ah… There’s no place quite like home.” 

The woman smiled, her eyes full of affection. “There’s even a fishing area here. I think it’s perfect for you, Grandpa! But I won’t have much time to visit you if you stay here. Are you sure you don’t want to live with us?” 

Just as the old man was about to respond, a voice interrupted, “Excuse me, sir.” 

Felix had approached, but the middle–aged man stepped in front of him, blocking his way. Felix didn’t try to push past. He knew the man was a trained bodyguard, evident by his sharp gaze and prominent cheekbones. 

“Are you talking to me?” the old man asked, looking at Felix curiously. 

Felix nodded. “Yes, sir. If I’m not mistaken, you’re a veteran–someone who’s been on the 

battlefield.” 

Earlier, Felix had sensed the intense air surrounding the old man. It wasn’t the kind of violence that came from reckless killing, but the hardened presence of a soldier who had seen battle. 

Growing up in a family with strong moral values, Felix had always respected revolutionary heroes. He knew that without their sacrifices and determination, the peace and prosperity of today wouldn’t exist. 

“Leave us alone,” she said sharply. “Grandpa is in good health, and we don’t need any strange people bothering us.” 

But the old man waved her off. His curiosity was piqued. “How did you know I was a veteran?” 

Felix smiled. “There’s no need for you to know the specifics. I came over because I noticed

something about your health. As a veteran, you deserve to live a long and healthy life.” 

Before Felix could continue, the young woman exploded in anger. “That’s nonsense! My grandfather is perfectly healthy! If you keep talking like that, I’ll rip your tongue out!” 

“Jairo, throw him out.” 

The man, Jairo, who was now glaring at Felix, took a threatening step forward. His expression had turned icy at Felix’s words about the old man’s health. 

“Are you leaving on your own, or do I need to help you?” 

Felix sighed, already expecting this reaction. He had done what he could, and at least he had a clear conscience. He was about to turn around and leave when the old man’s voice called out again. 

“Wait, young man. You said I’m unwell. What exactly is wrong with me? If what you say makes sense, I’ll listen. But if you’re trying to scam me, you’ll face legal consequences. You can still walk away now.”
