Chapter 105 

Callum didn’t take Wendy’s warning seriously at all. 

“Let it be. It’s time you both met some of the connections my father has. Maybe this will help spark some chemistry between Hugo and Wendy,” he muttered confidently. 

He knew very well what gave Wendy her confidence–Felix’s connection to Kane. But could Kane really dominate all of Avesburgh? The answer was obviously no. 

Meanwhile, night had fallen at Tabiner Bay, and Wendy was sitting on the couch in Felix’s villa, her face tense. 

“What brings you here tonight?” Felix asked, genuinely curious. He knew her visit wasn’t about the herbs this time. 

“Felix, I’m sorry,” she said suddenly. 

Her unexpected apology made him frown. “What do you mean?” 

For Wendy to show up personally, Felix knew it had to be something significant. 

“It’s about Hugo. I couldn’t stop him, and now, he’s made his move. I only just found out when my father and I went to talk with his father, Callum. Unfortunately, it didn’t help. They seem to be relying on something… or someone.” 

Felix’s thoughts flashed back to Hugo’s earlier threatening phone call. He asked calmly, ” What did he do?” 

Wendy hesitated for a moment, seemingly afraid to reveal the truth. “Hugo went after Warren.” 

When Felix heard that, especially the fact that Hugo had humiliated Warren by stepping on him, his anger flared. He could no longer suppress it. 

“It seems Hugo has had it too easy in this world. Time for him to experience something different,” he muttered darkly. 

Wendy had been right to worry. Despite their fallout, Felix still held a deep respect for Warren. There was no way he would allow Hugo’s behavior to gò unchecked. 

“Kane, head to the Lambert family. Bring Hugo to me,” Felix commanded over the phone. 

“Understood!” Kane replied. 

After hanging up, Felix turned his attention back to Wendy. 

“Hugo is pursuing you, and he knows about my connection with Kane. But he still acts so boldly. That means he’s aiming for something bigger, isn’t he?”

Wendy nodded, sharing the same confusion. 

“Honestly, Felix, I’ve wondered about that myself. I’ve heard bits and pieces about Callum’s connections, but this time, their confidence is clear–they aren’t afraid of Kane. 

“It’s odd that Callum is letting Hugo chase after me. It feels like they have something, or someone, backing them.” 

Felix sneered, brushing off the topic. “We’ll find out soon enough if they truly don’t fear Kane. Regardless, I think it’s time I pay them a visit.” 

He was prepared to let Kane handle it, but if things didn’t go as planned, Felix wasn’t about to let Hugo enjoy any more time feeling untouchable.
