As Belle left, Felix furrowed his brows. He sensed something was off but was unable to pinpoint it. 

There would certainly be problems if Xena had Interfered. But from what he knew of her, Xena was not petty enough to do that. That woman was just too proud and dismissive of others. She was not one to play underhanded tricks. 

In a room within the ballroom, Belle entered to find Joshua already seated. “Did you see Ms. Summers?” she asked. 

A flash of displeasure crossed Joshua’s eyes. “I did, but she ignored me. It seems she’s still upset about the dinner incident.” 

Belle nodded and smiled. She said, “Don’t mind it. I’ve told you. Many pursue Ms. Summers. You need to be patient! By the way, has your 

has your uncle arrived?” 

“Yes. He should be landing soon and coming straight here. Remember to pass on my message. This is our make–or–break moment. 

More than that, Belle looked forward to seeing Felix’s shocked expression later. Afterward, Joshua would do something that would deliver a crushing blow. She was sure that after tonight, she would never see that detestable man again.

All the company representatives who were invited tensed up. They knew this was the moment that would decide their fate. Naturally, the Quinton family was among the most anxious, though Warren remained composed. 

If they succeeded, he would thank Felix. If not, he would use this chance to cut ties completely and ask Felix to stop interfering in their lives. He had only one daughter and did not want to relive the kidnapping scenario ever again. (1 

Scanning the room, Joshua spotted Felix standing in a corner and the eager Quinton family. He could not help but smirk a little. 

“The first partner company is Kinsley Corporation!” There was little reaction from the crowd. They were the richest family, after all, so their company would naturally have a guaranteed spot. 

Even Wendy and Vincent simply raised their champagne glasses to acknowledge the congratulatory looks from others.

“Be quiet. If it’s meant for us, it’s ours. If not, no amount of fussing will change that.” Warren was calm, though he felt uneasy inside. It would be really disappointing if Felix was playing with him as well.
