However, Felix frowned when he glanced around the room. “Why are there so many people here?” he asked. 

Kane was stunned. He hurriedly looked up and said, “My lord, is there… Is there something wrong?” 

Felix walked over and took a seat. “Everyone, you may raise your head.” 

He then looked at Kane and said, “I told you to just bring three chiefs. Why did you bring them all?” 

Only three? Kane was startled. He hurried over to retrieve his phone, sweating profusely all over his face. 

“My lord, you told me to bring them all.” 

After listening to the voice message, Felix sighed in exasperation. Kane probably didn’t pay particularly close attention to the message, and part of it had indeed been drowned out by the harsh speaker sound. So, Kane couldn’t be blamed for the mishap. 

“Whatever. Now listen up, all nine of you. In a while, the goddess of war, Xena Summers, will be coming. I need you to vouch that I’m a member of Dragon Alliance. Understand?” 

The chiefs exchanged looks of confusion. Was this all the Dragon Lord wanted them to do? They had thought that they had been gathered for something important. They certainly weren’t expecting something menial like this. 

In fact, a few of them found it ridiculous. Why did the Dragon Lord still need other people to vouch for him to be a member of Dragon Alliance? 

“What’s the matter? Is this too much to ask of you?” 

It wasn’t until Felix suddenly spoke again that the chiefs hurriedly responded in a panic. They didn’t dare disobey him. 

“As for the rebellion within Dragon Alliance, I will deal with them personally once I’m done settling the tasks I have on hand.”

The chiefs rejoiced. With Felix’s word, they no longer had to worry about the rebels. They figured that the rebels would very soon regret it
