Just then, Yvonne’s boss called. 

“Miss.” 

“That woman in the photo you sent yesterday is Sherlyn, Ernest Holt’s granddaughter.” 

What? Ernest Holt? Yvonne was shocked. Having followed her boss for so long, of course she would know such a prominent figure. 

“My goodness, miss! How could someone of Sherlyn’s status be associated with Felix?” 

Surprisingly, she laughed. “Ernest has settled in Avesburgh, right next door to Felix. Given how low–key Ernest is, some interaction as neighbors should be normal. It’s probably just surface–level pleasantries, nothing big. 

“As for why Sherlyn helped Felix, perhaps Ernest just didn’t like how the Phoenix Legion was making such a fuss over an ordinary person, so he sent his granddaughter to smooth things over. No need to read too much into it. 

“But if Felix really did earn Ernest’s support, he might just have a shot at climbing the social ladder.” 

The call ended abruptly, leaving Yvonne with a bitter smile. The reason why her boss could be so open–minded was probably because of her status and position. Her boss might respect Emest, but Sherlyn? Probably not so much. 

It was pure chaos in the best VIP room of Westside Restaurant, with all sorts of broken items littering the floor. Harold was sitting in a chair and playing on his phone. He seemed unbothered by the dozen or so men in black suits standing nearby. 

“You brat, do you know who owns this restaurant? And you’ve got the nerve to sit there playing on your phone?” 

There was a middle–aged man sitting nearby. He was the restaurant manager, Logan. 

Carson. 

“Look. I was in a bad mood, so I broke some stuff. Didn’t I tell you? My cousin will handle it. He’s a big shot, you know. You’ll be satisfied.” 

Logan sneered. “Is that so? You’d better hope you’re telling the truth. If this doesn’t get sorted, your life might be on the line.” 

As the manager, this was his first time dealing with such a situation. He wanted to handle it himself first so that he would have some leverage when reporting this matter later. That was why he was waiting for Felix to arrive.

As Felix entered, he surveyed the room. It was indeed trashed, just as Logan had described on the phone. 

Even with Felix there, Harold kept playing on lils phone and barely acknowledged him. Felix, hurry up and clean up this mess. I’m getting bored.” 

Ignoring Harold, Felix turned to Logan. “Name your price. I’ll pay the damages now.”
