Wendy tucked the ticket away and picked up her coffee with a smile. She said, “What trouble? You’re overthinking, Felix. I’ll just return the ticket. It’s no big deal. 

“Cheers! Here’s hoping you snag that Moon’s Tear at the auction!” 

As Felix took a sip of coffee, he got a call from George. “Mr. Zeller, are you there yet? I’m on my way.” 

“Yeah, I’m at Sunside Café.” 

“Cool! I’ll meet you there. It won’t be long. 

Just as he hung up, a middle–aged man appeared at their table. “Ms. Kinsley, you know Mr. Jackman’s temper. We’ve got five minutes left. You’d better come with me now.” 

A flicker of panic crossed Wendy’s eyes. She hurriedly stood up while pulling out the ticket again. 

“Please give this back to Mr. Jackman. My friend already has a ticket. Tell him I’m grateful and that I’ll make it up to him however I can.” 

But the man did not take it. Instead, he sneered and said, “Wendy Kinsley, when has Mr. Sean Jackman ever taken back something he’s given? Everyone in Yartford would know the 

answer. 

He grabbed Wendy’s arm. “The deal’s done. You don’t have the right to back out. Come with me to meet Mr. Jackman. Don’t keep him waiting.” 

In a flash, another hand gripped the man’s wrist. “Let her go. 

The middle–aged man barely glanced at Felix, who had suddenly stood up. A sharp pain instantly shot through his wrist, so he had to release his grip. “You brat, you got a death wish? Mind your own business!” 

Ignoring the man, Felix turned to Wendy. “I asked you to be honest. Don’t you consider me a friend?” 

Wendy panicked. “Felix, stay out of this. I can handle it.” 

The middle–aged man laughed as if he were enjoying the show.” 

“Hah! So Wendy wanted the ticket for you, huh? Well, let me do you a favor and enlighten you. She got that ticket from Mr. Jackman by agreeing to sleep with him before the auction and spend the whole night after the event pleasing him. 

“We even had a traditional medicine practitioner check on her. She’s a virgin, alright! If not, there’s no way someone like her would score a ticket from Mr. Jackman.‘
