“Why didn’t you say so earlier? The act was killing me! Come on, let’s drink. Whoever stays sober is a loser!” Vanessa said joyfully. 

Jack threw up his hands. “Man, I actually liked the sweet act. Felix just had to ruin it with 

one sentence.” 

The next thing he knew, Vanessa pinched his ear. “Oh yeah? Love the cutesy voice, do you? Wait till we get home. I’ll talk like that all night long. You’ll get your fill, I promise!” 

Felix could not help but grin. Vanessa was quite the firecracker. 

Two hours later, Jack was carrying a passed–out Vanessa as he glared at Felix. “Damn it, man. Couldn’t you have slowed her drinking down? So much for setting the mood tonight.” 

Felix ignored him and made a gesture. Vivian appeared, handing over a tablet. Jack was already used to seeing all the beauties around Felix. 

“Thanks.” Vivian turned away with a heavy heart. Who knew when she would see him again? 

“It’s my first time meeting her, so I wasn’t sure what to get her. Give her this when she wakes up tomorrow,” Felix instructed. 

Jack looked at the tablet with a surprised look. “I’ve never seen anyone give someone a tablet as a gift before. Got it, thanks,” 

The tablet was just the wrapper–the real gift was inside. Felix had Vivian load it with premium martial arts techniques from Dragon Alliance. Eloise was the one who had founded Dragon Alliance, after all. Their techniques were top–notch. 

He could tell that Vanessa was a martial artist, so it seemed like a fitting gift. 

The next morning at Jack’s place, Vanessa woke up and looked around. She then smacked the sleeping Jack awake. 

“Nessa! Can’t… can’t you be gentler? I was having such a nice dream. 

Vanessa scowled. “Your friend’s a beast at drinking. I can usually hold my liquor, but he knocked me out cold.” 

About to doze off again, Jack quickly pointed at the table to divert her attention. Before turning away, he said, “That’s Felix’s gift for you. Let me sleep a bit more, Nessa.” 

Gift? Vanessa went over. She raised an eyebrow when she saw the tablet. “A tablet? Interesting.”
