“Fine, two tickets it is. I’m easy to please,” Jack conceded. 

After reaching Canraville, Jack was furious to learn that Stellar Group’s executives had made a surprise visit to the Avesburgh office. He had to rush back by train, as entertaining the executives that evening was non–negotiable. 

At New Glory’s luxury real estate office, only a few sales agents were with clients, as such high–end properties naturally drew limited customers. Just as the last clients left, a sharp slap echoed through the office, drawing everyone’s attention. 

“Ms. Martinez, w–why did you hit me?” Michelle Smith asked in disbelief, holding her cheek. 

“Why? You worthless bitch! I lost a villa sale because you offended my clients. Tell me- don’t you deserve that slap?” Julia Martinez snapped. 

Michelle fought back tears as she defended herself, “They tried to get handsy, and I didn’t even say anything–I just walked away! How is it my fault if they won’t buy?” 

Julia pointed at Michelle angrily, her eyes burning with rage. “Oh, still talking back?” 

Then, she raised her hand for another slap while the other agents looked on with mixed expressions. Even so, none none stepped forward. After all, Julia was their top seller, someone even their manager would not even cross. 

As Michelle closed her eyes in fear, the expected pain never came. She opened her eyes to find a young man holding Julia’s wrist. 

“Let go of me! Who the hell are you?” Julia demanded. 

Felix, who had intervened, frowned. “So this is the level of professionalism at the 

prestigious New Glory? It surely is something else.” 

Realizing Felix might be a potential client, Julia quickly changed her tone. “I’m so sorry, sir. This is a personal matter–we apologize for the disturbance.” 

Felix released her hand with a snort and turned to Michelle. “I’m interested in villa. Could you help me?”

Michelle stood frozen in disbelief, but Julia quickly stepped between them. “Sir, I’d be happy to show you our villas. We have specific assignments here, and she’s not authorized 

to sell them.” 

“She’s right… I’m not authorized to sell villas. I’m sorry,” Michelle admitted. 

Felix smiled inwardly, knowing Michelle was Karina’s brother Carlile Smith’s only living
