Nobody who offended Kane would ever appear again. It was rumored that they were either buried alive or jumped into the river, but in any case, they would certainly die. There was no other possible result. 

Felix stood up slowly and walked over. “I’m very sure that I don’t know you.” 

Kane said, “Of course. You aren’t worthy of knowing me, but I’m sure you haven’t forgotten Ted, have you?” 

Felix laughed at the mention of the name. “Oh, so you’re Ted’s backup. You should have said so earlier instead of wasting time. Let’s start, then.” 

Felix crossed his arms. He didn’t look afraid at all, nor did he look as if he was ready to fight. He looked more like someone who was there to see what would happen. 

As Kane raised his hand, he suddenly saw that Felix was wearing a very unique–looking ring on his left hand. His expression changed at once. “You… You…” 

Felix was confused by Kane’s actions. “Why?” 

Kane swallowed and hastily took out a gold card. There was a very life–like dragon engraved on it. “Can I verify whether your ring is real or fake?” 

Ring? Felix looked down and remembered that he was wearing the Dragon Ring. Eloise had given it to him and said something about Dragon Alliance. “You’re from Dragon Alliance?” 

Kane gasped. If Felix could say that, it meant that there was no doubt about it. However, he still had to verify it. 

“Go ahead.” 

After getting permission, Kane carefully held the card close to the ring. The card immediately latched onto the ring, as if pulled by an invisible force. 

Kane’s expression changed drastically, and he fell to his knees. “Kane from Oasis Clinic of Dragon Alliance greets you, my lord!” 

The men who Kane had brought with him were all kneeling on the floor as well. “Greetings, my lord!” 

Felix wasn’t too surprised. After all, Eloise wouldn’t lie to him. He had actually been feeling confused about all of it, but now he had finally met someone from Dragon Alliance. 

Judging from the reactions of Sasha and the others, Kane had to be a pretty powerful man. That meant that Dragon Alliance probably commanded great respect as well. 

“Get up.” 

However, Kane didn’t dare to do so. He was full of regrets as he said, “Please kill me, my lord. How could I have said those disrespectful things to you? I even tried to cause trouble for you!” 

The rules of Dragon Alliance stated that they would only acknowledge the presence of the Dragon Ring, not any person. Whoever had the Dragon Ring was the Dragon Lord. 

“You didn’t know, so I don’t blame you. You may get up.” 

“Thank you, my lord.” Kane got up, looking very excited. He couldn’t believe he was meeting the Dragon Lord in this lifetime! 

He was only the deputy chief of Oasis Clinic, so it was a great honor for him. 

“Was Ted the one who told you to come? If he managed to get you to come, he was more influential than I thought.
