“You’ll bring me in? What do you mean?” Feliz asked, frowning. He didn’t recall Xena ever inviting him to the concert. 

“Oh, don’t be so coy, I’m in charge of security for this concert, so bringing you in shouldn’t be an issue for me.” Xena retorted. 

Felix glanced subtly in Alistair’s direction and suddenly understood what was happening 

“Thank you for the gesture, but Alistair’s already left. You don’t need to put on this fake show of affection with me.” 

Had Alistair left? Xena turned slightly, confirming that Alistair had indeed already moved off with his team. As always, he was meticulous. Even though he saw Felix, he hadn’t stopped to greet him and only focused on his duties. 

“Now that I’ve made the offer, I won’t go back on it! You came all this way to see Dreamscape’s concert, right? I’ll take you in,” Xena insisted. 

Felix chuckled coldly. If this had been anyone’s first encounter with Xena, they might have mistaken her for a gentle, understanding woman. But the truth was the opposite. 

“No need. I can get in myself. You got one thing right, though. I did come for Dreamscape’s concert,” Felix said. 

Xena felt her patience wane. Felix was always so stubborn. Just moments ago, he was turned away by the ticket inspector, and now he was so stubborn again? 

Fine! She wanted to see exactly how he planned to get in without her. He was mistaken if he thought he could just slip in with his warrior’s speed. As head of security, she would make sure he was stopped. 

Just then, her expression changed. Felix was heading straight for the VIP entrance, which had heightened security and even stricter checks. 

“Felix! I’m telling you, don’t go in there,” she warned. 

She was reminded that Alistair and a few others knew about her connection to Felix. It would be humiliating if he barged into the VIP area and got thrown out. 

“Spare me your concern, and stop following me!” Felix said, annoyed. 

Even with his outstanding medical skills, did Xena still look down on him? He couldn’t comprehend her mindset. It was too baffling. 

At the VIP entrance, Felix handed over his ticket. After a quick verification, the ticket inspector broke into a smile. 

“Please, go right in.”

“How is that possible?” Xena couldn’t make sense of it. The VIP tickets were reserved exclusively for the elite young talents in various fields. What had Felix done to deserve one? After a long moment of reflection, she could only attribute it to his medical expertise.
