Xena practically roared those words, Even Felix heard them clearly while sitting beside 

Jaden. He felt moved and surprised by how much she about him. 

Xena never ran from problems. Just as she had been firm in her previous stance, she was ready to face anything together now that she had decided to be with Felix, 

This only made Jaden angrier. The more she cared about Felix, the more it infuriated him. 

“Xena, do I need to remind you how your cousin Ted died and why your uncle Perry committed suicide? Have you forgotten all that? And now you’re still protecting Felix, who’s your enemy. I really don’t understand what’s going through your head.” 

After Felix’s warning last time, Xena investigated his claims and discovered that Ted had indeed tried to harm Felix a few times using vicious methods. He only failed because of Felix’s strength. As for Perry, his overly indulgent parenting had led to all this. 

“Stop with the pointless talk. Are you releasing him or not?” Xena asked bluntly, 

Seeing that appealing to emotions was not working, Jaden sneered. 

“Fine, I’ll be straight with you! First, Felix killed a Crimson Sage Sect disciple. It’s all on the bar’s security cameras and there were plenty of witnesses. Second, according to the agreement between the Martial Alliance and the government, our sect has the right to handle this situation. 

“So even you have no authority to interfere as the goddess of war.” 

Xena knew this all too well. She had tried intimidation, hoping to scare Jaden, but that had clearly failed. 

The Martial Alliance was an organization formed by representatives from various martial arts sects in Dragonia. They occasionally assisted the government and received certain privileges in exchange, just like the Dragon Alliance. Everything Jaden had said was technically correct. 

“I want to examine the body of the Crimson Sage disciple Felix allegedly killed,” Xena 

demanded. 

Examine the body? Dream on. “Impossible! My fellow apprentice is dead, and the Crimson Sage Sect absolutely forbids any outsiders from desecrating his body!” 

Without an examination, there would be no way to disprove the murder. Felix’s guilt would be set in stone.
