Chapter 41 

After what happened last night, Ruth disliked Felix even more. He ruined her perfect birthday party, and she was left more terrified than ever. 

To make matters worse, she received a WhatsApp message from Sasha later that night, saying Felix was fine. It turned out the whole thing was a misunderstanding caused by mistaken identity, which only upset her even more. 

Thus, when Ruth saw that Sandra’s so–called important client was none other than Felix, she couldn’t help but speak harshly. 

“Ruth, do you know him?” Sandra asked in surprise but couldn’t feel happy about it. Ruth’s earlier remarks didn’t sound like those of a friend but rather like those of an enemy. 

“Well, we’re more than just acquaintances. Since you weren’t at the party last night, I’ll fill you in on the details. The real culprit is this fellow named Felix!” Ruth replied. 

Felix frowned. “If you don’t want me to slap you in public, you’d better keep your mouth clean.” He was wary of Sasha because of Warren, but it was a different story when it came to Ruth. 

Ruth sneered and retorted, “How amusing! Do you really think a mere insignificant doctor and fraud like you can slap me? Come on, then! I’m standing right here. If you’ve got the guts, come and slap me!” 

After saying that, she nudged Sandra. “Don’t waste your time on this idiot. It’d be a miracle if he could buy a bathroom, let alone a villa. He’s probably into you and trying to trick you! His con game is truly something else.” 

Sandra was shocked to find out he was a con artist. Her face turned visibly displeased. 

In her line of work, she had encountered many swindlers who pretended to buy villas or high–end apartments. They’d rent a luxury car, all just to get with saleswomen like her. 

“I’m interested in buying a house. Can you assist me?” Felix didn’t want to complicate things. He had plenty of time to deal with Ruth later, so he directly stopped a passing salesperson. 

The salesperson, Alice Fuller, was visibly surprised and instinctively looked at Sandra. After all, stealing someone else’s client was unethical. 

Since Ruth had made things so clear, Sandra didn’t want to waste more time on Felix. She naturally passed him off to Alice. “You may take over.” 

“Alright, sir. Please follow me,” Alice said. 

As Sandra watched Felix leave with Alice, she breathed a sigh of relief. “Ruth, thank goodness for you, or I would have been duped. Even if I could hold back from crossing any lines, my time would still be wasted.” 

Ruth smiled and nodded. “Helping you is the least I can do. Let’s go smoke to unwind. I’ll also think of some other potential clients to introduce you to and share some funny stories about Felix. His deceit is just so blatant!” 

Half an hour later, Ruth had already left, and Sandra was enjoying coffee in the rest area. 

Suddenly, Alice rushed in. Her face was full of excitement. “Ladies! I’m treating everyone to a lavish dinner tonight. Go all out, and don’t hold back!” 

The sales staff quickly caught on and asked, “Did you just close a big deal?” 

“That’s right! The fully furnished villa was sold for 25 million dollars, and the buyer paid in full immediately. I’ve never witnessed such a quick purchase before. I hardly had to explain anything. I just showed him the villa, and he paid right away!” Alice replied.
