After some thought, Felix responded, “Then, go. Don’t let Dragon Alliance appear weak.‘ 

When Felix returned home, he found both the gate and the front door wide open, as if someone had broken in. Rushing inside, he was puzzled to find Xena sitting in the living room, her face ashen as if something serious had happened. 

“Xena, what brings you here?” Felix asked.

Xena resisted the urge to slap him and continued, “Didn’t you tell Sonny to kill Grandpa last night to save your own life? Felix, you’ve disappointed me so much! 

“They say you never truly know someone, and I thought I understood you, but you’ve been hiding your true nature all along! Honestly, I should be grateful to Sonny–if he hadn’t exposed your true colors, I might’ve ended up marrying you someday, and now that makes me sick!” 

She headed for the door and added, “We’re done, Grandpa also agrees to call off the marriage. From now on, we’re strangers!” 

Felix grabbed her arm, his frown deepening. “Though I really don’t understand, something major seems to have happened. Can you explain it to me in detail?” 

Xena yanked her arm away, causing Felix to stumble back several steps. “You’re quite the actor! Acting like you weren’t kidnapped by Sonny last night. How did I never notice how good you were at pretending?” 

Curtis had been found at dawn outside a hospital in Canraville. All surveillance cameras had been destroyed, and no one knew who had brought him there. Regardless, he was home now, recovering with no serious injuries.
