The note read, “Felix, I’ve mastered the forbidden technique. Do you dare face me again tonight at the peak of Eastern Mountain?” 

Was it Solomon again? Felix smirked. He had spared Solomon’s life last time to send a message, and also because he did not have martial powers then. It was a tactical retreat, but things were now different. 

If Solomon was so eager to die, why should Felix spare him? He had thought the Elders‘ Council would lay low for a while, but apparently not for long. 

As night fell, Felix drove toward Eastern Mountain. The familiar scenery reminded him of his previous misunderstanding with Xena, which was all because of this mountain. 

Near the mountain, he encountered a roadblock manned by armed Wolfie troops. He stopped and lowered his window. The guard spoke, “This area is temporarily restricted. Please take a detour.” 

Detour? Where to? This was the only road up the mountain. “Alright.” 

After driving a short distance away, he pulled over and reached for his phone to call Alistair but thought better of it. The Wolfie troops were clearly on a mission, so involving Alistair would only put him in a difficult position and compromise the operation. 1 

“I guess I’ll have to use my legs.” He parked his car at the bottom of the slope before disappearing into the darkness with a few swift leaps. 

Meanwhile, Xena and Alistair were hiding at the mountain’s base as if avoiding detection. 

“Lady Summers, do you know who headquarters sent this time?” Alistair asked. 

Xena shook her head. “No idea.” 

Alistair clenched his fists. “After all these years we finally have intel on Dexter Grimshaw. We can’t let that monster escape this time.” 

Dexter Grimshaw was one of the Super S–rank wanted criminals from the Thirteen Aces. Nicknamed the Jack of Hearts, he was ranked tenth amongst the Thirteen Aces. His combat prowess was undeniable, but what truly set him apart was his murder count. 

It was higher than even the infamous God of Death and Sonny. That was why Alistair despised him so much. 

“Lady Summers, I’ll be taking all the credit for this one,” a voice suddenly cut through the darkness, startling them both. 

“Mr. Hunter.” Alistair bowed. Despite working with Xena, he had not yet reached the rank of admiral and still needed to show proper respect.
