“What!” Nala jumped to her feet, fully aware that the conflict between Felix and Malcolm had started because of her. 

“Damn it! Since when did the Crayden family become so aggressive? How dare they plan an assassination when the Saphira family is involved?” she exclaimed. 

This also puzzled Alfie, as the Eight Great Martial Families typically favored strategy over brute force. 

“Have Yvonne warn Felix to get out of there immediately,” Nala ordered. 

“Yes, miss!” Alfie rushed to comply. 

Even though Felix had advanced significantly in his training, he was no match for a Crayden family elder. If they crossed paths, it would be certain death.

At the abandoned brick factory in Canraville, a young man stepped out of the driver’s seat. He was tall and slender with extremely pale skin. He was not ruggedly handsome but had a refined, scholarly charm, like someone straight out of a classic novel. 

“Is that Malcolm?” Felix asked, and Jeffrey nodded in confirmation. 

Felix found it interesting how consistent the Eight Great Martial Families were in their confidence, showing up without an entourage of bodyguards. 

Just then, his phone rang–it was Yvonne. 

Felix ignored the call, but a text message immediately followed. “Felix, run! The Crayden family has sent an elder after you. You can’t win this fight. Get out of there now!”

“Jeffrey, are you really going to oppose me for this guy?” Malcolm asked mockingly. He stood about 16 feet away, and his demeanor was arrogant, as if he did not take either Felix
