While waiting for Zara’s call at home, Felix received one from Seven first. 

Seven reported, “Mr. Zeller, I checked on Drake when I got your order. He’s already on a plane to Azuria.” 

Felix was puzzled, wondering if Drake was really scared by his display of wealth at Sixview Peak. He questioned, “Then, just execute him when he lands. Why are you asking me?” 

“Flair only operates within Dragonia. We haven’t expanded overseas; as you know, Ms. Davis isn’t interested in that direction,” Seven explained with resignation. 

Thinking of Averill’s carefree nature, Felix knew Seven was not lying. 

“Fine. Execute if Drake returns. Otherwise, let it go,” Felix decided. Such a minor figure was not worth pursuing internationally. 

As night fell, Felix drove to a coffee shop where Zara was already waiting. As she got into the passenger seat, she said, “Felix, thank you so much for helping.” 

“If Mr. Grayson knows you’re afraid of supernatural things, why would he assign you this kind of task?” Felix asked, confused. 

Zara gave a bitter smile. “It’s meant as punishment. Mr. Grayson doesn’t believe in ghosts. He took me to that village twice before, and even with him there, I had nightmares afterward. 

“He was angry, saying that as a doctor, I’d never achieve greatness if I couldn’t overcome this fear. Now he’s forcing me to go back.” 

The logic made some sense to Felix. As a medical practitioner, dealing with death was inevitable. If fear of the supernatural affected one’s judgment, it could lead to fatal mistakes with patients. Hence, it was clear that Silas was trying to prevent such situations. 

“I looked up Mourning Village. There are many tales, but I believe they’re just rumors. There’s no such thing as real ghosts,” Felix said reassuringly. 

The village’s unusual name and location between the two cities had spawned countless stories. Local legend claimed that when villagers died, their bodies had to be left in the courtyard overnight, only to vanish by morning without explanation. 

Strange sounds and eerie winds plagued the village at night, driving all residents indoors after dark. Most younger villagers had moved to the cities, leaving only a few dozen elderly residents. 

“I wish I could believe that, but… you’ll understand my fear when we get there,” Zara
