Finally, they had reached the heart of the matter. Magnus was their most senior Supreme Elder, and no one knew his exact age. He never appeared even at Medic’s Haven’s grandest ceremonies. How could he possibly show up for some unknown person like Felix? 

It would be a joke if they entertained everyone who claimed to know Magnus. Would Magnus possibly show up and verify each claim personally every time? 

Ethan remained unconcerned. He knew Jasper’s caution stemmed from that incident five years ago and Felix’s connection to Xena. But none of that mattered now since Felix would surely die. 

Less than ten minutes later, Jasper returned. This time, he stood near Felix instead of taking his seat. “Welcome, Mr. Grimwald!” 

All the elders hurriedly stood, their faces shocked. Impossible! Magnus had actually come? “Welcome, Mr. Grimwald!” Whatever their thoughts were, they had to show proper rèspect 

to Magnus. 

As someone coughed, Felix heard an elderly voice. “I want to see the youngster who dares insult Orion and claims to know me.” 

Felix turned to see a white–haired elder slowly entering the great hall with a walking stick. For the first time in his life, Felix saw what true benevolence looked like in human form. 

“Young man, I’m not sure if you know me, but I certainly don’t know you.” Magnus studied Felix carefully. Despite mentioning Felix’s insult to their founder, his clear eyes showed no anger. 

“It’s natural you don’t recognize me, but you’ve probably seen this before.” 

Magnus caught what Felix tossed him. After just a glance, his expression turned to surprise. “Oh? A Miracle Card! I haven’t seen one of these in ages.” 

A Miracle Card? Everyone was puzzled. While they were surprised Felix had one, wasn’t the card just for summoning the miracle doctors in emergencies? What good would that do now? It was not like he had a miracle doctor as his father! 

Felix raised his right hand, and the card flew back to him. “Yes, it’s a Miracle Card. But Mr. Grimwald, please look more carefully.” 

He tossed it again. Though Magnus caught it, his brows furrowed as he was confused by the repeated action. 

“Felix! How dare you toy with Mr. Grimwald?” Having reached his limit, Henrik started squawking again.
