conversation was a casual chat. 

He continued, “Are you perhaps some kind of friend of his?”

“As for the box, I have no idea what’s inside or why anyone would want it.” 

At that, Aiden waved his hand dismissively. “You can leave now.” 

The old man stood up but lingered for a moment. “So, you believe me? When you make your move on Felix, can I watch?” 

Aiden’s gaze turned cold as he shot the old man a piercing glare. “When I tell you to leave, I mean now. Are you deaf?” 

That look alone sent a chill down the old man’s spine. For the first time, he realized the world had underestimated Aiden of the Greene family. Without another word, he vanished. 

However, Asher could not hold back. “Aiden, you don’t actually believe that strange old man, do you?” 

Aiden frowned and stayed silent for a moment, lost in thought. Finally, he replied, “He’s trying to use me to do his dirty work, but he’s underestimating me. Send someone at the Oceanus Realm level to test Felix. If he really is that strong, I’ll deal with him myself.”

The old man did not panic but instead turned with a look of mild curiosity. “And why is that?”

“Your surveillance of Felix will interfere with Milady’s plans,” the voice replied coldly.

The old man smirked, but he knew better than to test Alfie’s patience. “Well, well. It seems Lady Nala is serious about this. Fine, I’ll leave–it doesn’t disrupt our plans much anyway. The important part has already been achieved.” 

With that, the old man vanished. Whether he would have left on his own without Aiden’s involvement was unclear, but one thing was sure–Nala’s authority was nothing to scoff at. 

What the old man did not realize, however, was just how narrowly timed his arrival had been. If he had shown up earlier that morning, Averill and Mira would have still been at the villa. In that case, the drama that would have unfolded would have been far more chaotic.
