Isabella gave an awkward laugh and put away her compact mirror. She had good principles, so she had never gotten involved with wealthy customers at the dealership. But people like Felix were truly rare. 

Soon after Felix arrived, he got straight to the point. “To be honest, Isabella, I need to buy something from Darren. I need your help.” 

Having been warned by Nelly, Isabella thought for a moment before responding, “Felix, it’s not that I don’t want to help, but I’ve turned Darren down a few times already.” 

Felix smiled. “You must have some feelings for him, right? Otherwise, you would have blocked his number by now.” 

Isabella did not deny it. “Yes, I do. But marriage and life together need to be practical, you know? Darren’s a good person and nice–looking, too, but he only has that one massage parlor. He can’t even afford a decent house in Gray City, let alone anything else. 

“I’m not being materialistic, but there are basic living standards to consider. 

It was just as Felix had guessed. He saw his opportunity. “Here’s my proposal. Tomorrow, go tell Darren that I’m offering a hundred million dollars, not to buy it outright, but to borrow it for a year. I’ll return it after that–maybe even sooner if things go well.” 

What? Isabella stood up immediately, and even Nelly was shocked. A hundred million dollars was not a number ordinary people could even imagine. 

“Felix, are you serious?” 

Felix nodded. “Of course. Do I look like I’m joking? With that money, there shouldn’t be any obstacles to you two being together. How you work out the details to protect yourself with that money is up to you both.” 

Isabella was absolutely thrilled. Who wouldn’t want a comfortable life? And to have it with someone she actually liked was perfect. “Just wait for my good news, Felix. I’ll see Darren tomorrow and make sure everything works out beautifully.” 

Upon returning home that evening, Felix found Averill lounging in his living room, and he could only shake his head. 

The scene before him was pure temptation. Averill was stretched out on the couch in a white dress shirt and mini black skirt, with black stockings highlighting her long legs. As if that wasn’t enough, she had added black–framed glasses and was giving him her most seductive gaze.

“Not interested!” 

Being rejected again, Averill’s expression darkened. “Humph! Stupid Felix! If even this doesn’t get a reaction from you, I’m leaving. I’m sure you won’t care about Mr. Hoffman’s message anyway.”
