“A Dragonspine?” Felix stood there, totally stunned. “What’s going on? Wasn’t I supposed to get this after six months of service?” 

Xena replied with a serious expression, “Now, you understand how crucial this mission is, don’t you? They wouldn’t have assigned it to you if it wasn’t for the fact that Guneria already has intel on most of our elite agents. 

“Thanks to the Chief Commander’s endorsement, they decided to give you the Dragonspine early. It should boost your power significantly, right?” 

Felix brightened up. “Yeah, absolutely. This definitely improves my chances.” 

Though Xena maintained a poker face, Felix caught the flash of concern in her eyes. He knew she was still wrestling with what happened to Sarah, and she just could not express her feelings to him. 

But Felix did not press the issue. She needed to figure this out on her own, or it would all be a 

waste. 

As sunset approached, the headquarters sent over the Dragonspine. The fact that Hector personally delivered it spoke volumes about its importance. 

“I have other matters to attend to. We’ll catch up next time.” Hector was in a hurry. He left the Dragonspine with Felix and went on his way, barely stopping to exchange pleasantries. 

After absorbing the Dragonspine’s power, Felix smiled. His enhanced abilities gave him an extra edge in security. But one challenge remained–he had not found a single lead on the other two Dragonspines, despite having Nala dig for information. 

Sometimes, these things came down to pure luck rather than effort. Maybe he would have to return and have that conversation with Billy, figure out if those dark omens were real. Still, searching on his own would be the quickest and give him the best odds of success. 

After the cultivation, Felix headed to Floral Wreath Boutique. He found Billy engaged in an eerily casual conversation with a paper figure. 

“Man, you really don’t care about owing favors anymore. You’ve got some serious nerve.” 

Felix felt somewhat sheepish. “Well, you enjoy when I owe you favors, and I need help. It’s win -win, right?” 

Billy pursed his lips. “So, what else do you want? I’m running out of good stuff to give you.” 

“Simple–I want more soul–related items.‘
