John’s face changed when he heard Gage’s words. He grabbed his desk phone and said, “Get me a ticket out of the country immediately–anywhere except Dragonia!” 

Gage just smiled silently, making John uncomfortable. 

“To be frank, I’m really terrified. Elders‘ Council has tried multiple times, yet Felix is simply impossible to kill. His power keeps growing more terrifying. I’m just a coward with no powerful protectors like you. So, this is my only option.” 

Gage nodded. He said with a smile, “We remember your service to the Council. Too bad you crossed into the Grand Elder’s most hated domain. Otherwise, you’d have plenty of protection. 

John sighed helplessly. Business was about profit, so sometimes he couldn’t control himself. Besides, how was he supposed to know what the Grand Elder hated? 

If he had known experimenting on those children would anger the Grand Elder, he would not have touched it no matter what. Though it had advanced his company’s pharmaceuticals, losing the Grand Elder’s protection was not worth it. 

“There’s no need to run this time. Felix will likely die here in Guneria.” 

Huh? John was puzzled, so he asked, “Are you planning to handle it personally?” 

Gage chuckled. “Not quite. But Skyward Guild and the Greenes each sent their elite fighters. Under my arrangement, they’ll team up against Felix. I’d say there’s a 70% to 80% chance of 

success.

“Skyward Guild and the Greenes?” John was stunned, then sighed. “Felix really knows how to make powerful enemies. Well, if you say so, I won’t flee. I’ll just wait for his death here. Once he’s gone, I can return to my normal life.” 

Though he lacked proof, he suspected Felix had killed his daughter, Aimee. But what could he do? He could barely protect himself, let alone find someone capable of killing Felix. 

His biggest contribution to the Council was preventing Felix from marrying Xena. Who would dare kill the husband of the Goddess of War, or more precisely, the Warlord?
