“Mr. Zeller,” the shadowstalkers greeted with a bow, though Elliott’s expression darkened. 

He said sternly, “The woman with you isn’t on the guest list. The radar picked her up the moment she entered the perimeter. I’ll need an explanation.” 

Felix played the role of an entitled heir perfectly. ‘Who the hell do you think you are? This is my girlfriend–why can’t she be here? Do you know who my father is? How dare you! You guys, take him down!”

Elliott hesitated for a moment before nodding. “Fine, but she’ll need to be checked thoroughly first. After that, she’ll be escorted to join you.” 

Felix continued grumbling, throwing out a few more choice insults for good measure before Helena gently tugged his arm. “It’s okay, darling They won’t hurt me. You go ahead, and I’ll catch up with you soon.”

Felix nodded seriously. “I’ll remember this favor. If you ever need anything, just say the word, and I’ll be there immediately.” 

Elliott smiled, satisfied with this promise. Just then, a staff member interrupted, “Dr. Phillips, Mr. Robins is on the phone–it’s urgent.” 

“Alright,” Elliott said, gesturing for Felix to wait while he stepped aside to answer the wall phone. After listening for just a few moments, his expression completely changed.
