“Billy, are you signing up for the upcoming Dragonia Martial Arts Competition?” 

Unexpectedly, Billy shook his head, saying, “I’m not a martial artist, so why the hell would I join?” 

Hearing that, Felix’s expression turned strange, wondering why he claimed not to be a martial artist. Then again, Billy had always been hard to figure out. 

“Well, it’s a relief that you’re not joining,” Felix said. He had confidence in taking on anyone, except for Billy. This guy was too mysterious, and his methods were downright bizarre. 

“Felix, are you serious about what you mentioned last night?” 

Felix nodded. “Yeah, I already got Melissa’s consent. Didn’t you also give her a protective talisman? That should ensure nothing goes wrong.” 

The matter in question was about letting the Fish Men take Melissa if they showed up again. Felix hadn’t forgotten what Kendrick had said at the cathedral in Guneria. 

The Fish Men most likely carried a piece of the Dragonspine. While it felt underhanded to use Melissa as bait, Felix had gotten her agreement beforehand, and with the protective talisman Billy provided, it was worth the gamble. He didn’t know how else he was supposed to locate them. 

“But how can you be sure the Fish Men will show up in the next few days?” 

After some thought, Felix replied, “I can’t be certain, but with the Dragonia Martial Arts Competition approaching, they might make a move. It’s worth a shot.” 

The last time the Fish Men abducted Melissa, they didn’t harm her but sold her at the Obsidian Auction to trade for something they needed. It was clear that they had their own agenda. 

If Melissa showed up at the clinic again, there was a high likelihood they’d come after her. Additionally, with the Dragonia Martial Arts Competition happening, the odds seemed even higher. 

As soon as Felix stepped outside, his phone rang. The caller ID showed an unfamiliar number. 

“Who is this?” 

“Hello, Felix.” 

Felix chuckled when he heard her voice. “Naomi? It’s rare for you to reach out.” 

Gerald had just mentioned that Naomi would be contacting him.
