The next moment, a tall figure stepped out of the car. Of course, it was Baldrick.

Baldrick looked at the somewhat disheveled Cyrus, his eyes holding an unreadable expression. "So, it really was you."

He hadn't been mistaken back then.

Cyrus had indeed come to Ardenweald!

Their eyes met, and Cyrus' face darkened. "Baldrick, was it you who helped Nancy get here?"

"And if I say no, would you believe me? Don't tell me you didn't find out Nancy registered Lena's Studio here three years ago," Baldrick replied nonchalantly.

Cyrus fell silent.

He glared at Baldrick, his expression growing more sullen by the second.

Baldrick smirked slightly, "Looks like you believe it now."

Cyrus clenched his fists, anger coursing through him. Previously, he wouldn't have believed anything Baldrick said, especially about Nancy. However, according to the information Caleb had uncovered, Baldrick had been strictly professional lately, without any private time with Nancy. This revelation only fueled his confusion and frustration.

Yet, there was a new guy hanging around Nancy!

Cyrus gritted his teeth, face contorted in anger. "Baldrick, who the hell is that pretty boy?"

"Pretty boy? You mean Judson?" Baldrick couldn't help but enjoy the sight of Cyrus' fury, a strange satisfaction washing over him.

"So, the bruises on you are from Judson?" Baldrick continued.

"What difference does that make? You treated her poorly, she was bound to find someone who treated her right," Baldrick replied with disdain, suddenly curious about something.

"Cyrus, did you really ever love Nancy?"

Cyrus' face flushed with anger. "What kind of question is that? You know I proposed to Nancy a hundred times before she said yes!"

"Oh, I know," Baldrick acknowledged, his voice icy. "But after a hundred proposals, did you ever truly understand who Nancy is?"

The blunt question hit Cyrus square in the chest. He was taken aback, his eyes wide as he stared at Baldrick. "What are you getting at?"

Baldrick laughed, a biting edge to his voice. "Seems like Nancy's love blinded you to her true nature—decisive and cold. Nancy doesn't tolerate nonsense, not with you, not with herself. If she truly liked someone, she'd be upfront about it, put it all on the table. And yet, you jumped to conclusions, assuming she and Judson were involved, even thinking she ran away with him."

Baldrick's expression turned even more disdainful. "You didn't bother to investigate or consider your own faults. Cyrus, it's no wonder Nancy left you."
