Cyrus paused, his finger freezing in mid-motion. He had been in the midst of a kiss with Hayley when the phone rang, but he hadn't picked up.

His expression turned colder. "Next time I don't pick up, come in and let me know in advance."

Caleb was silent before quickly nodding, "Understood."

Was being intimate with Hayley in the office that important? Cyrus used to be all about his work. But it was hard to tell which version of Mr. Gordon was real.

Just then, a figure rushed into Cyrus' arms.

In a sweet voice, she exclaimed, "Cyrus, are you going to put me on ice?"

At that moment, Nancy quietly shut the office door.

The thought of Cyrus being openly affectionate with Hayley in the office made her think, ‘Well, that's good. They don't even need to make it official now!’

Thank goodness Cyrus hadn't closed the door properly, or she wouldn't have witnessed this scene.

"Cyrus!" Hayley's eyes welled with tears. "Don't you love me anymore?"

Cyrus' face fell. "What did you just say?"

Realizing her mistake, Hayley started to backpedal.

Cyrus pushed her away, his handsome face clouding over with displeasure. "Have I spoiled you so much that you've forgotten your place? Remember, you're nothing but a secret that can't see the light of day."
