Nancy felt like a bucket of ice water dumped over her head. Her pupils dilated in shock, and she gripped her phone so tightly that her knuckles turned white.

The online chat exploded with comments.

Skeptics voiced their disbelief.

Looking a bit distressed, Hayley asked, "Why won't you believe me?"

She then pulled out two property deeds from her purse.

“This one’s for the amusement park, and this one’s for Silverleaf Manor. Why would I lie about something like this? My boyfriend loves me!”

The mention of Silverleaf Manor and the amusement park was no small matter. Silverleaf Manor was worth a fortune, easily over hundreds of millions.

Hayley’s fans were stunned and thrilled.

But Nancy froze in place, her world crumbling. Cyrus had given Silverleaf Manor, the home she had longed for and lived in with her parents, to Hayley.

It was the home her parents had once sold, and six months ago, it was for sale because the owner needed money.

She was too late. Her husband had bought it and even gifted it to Hayley. How could Cyrus be so cruel to her? Nancy’s face turned deathly pale.

Then, her phone buzzed with a notification sound.

A user had sent hundreds of virtual carnival rides in the chat.

As Nancy and Hayley looked at the account name, their expressions changed.

“Nancy, I got some urgent business at the office. You can wait for me at the amusement park or take a cab home.”

“What if I don’t let you go?” Nancy said, her voice shaky.

"I've got to, love. It's important. Please, let's not make a scene," Cyrus said, clearly losing patience.

“You have no idea how busy I am.”

With that, he hung up and rushed off.

With tears brimming in her eyes, Nancy recalled Cyrus' words. Was trying to hold on to their marriage making a scene? Perhaps, to Cyrus, Hayley was his priority.

Determined, Nancy hailed a cab. “Follow that Maybach.”

Though the driver was puzzled, Nancy’s generous tip made him comply without further question. As they followed the speeding car, Nancy’s heart ached with desperation and anger, fists clenched tight.
