Without waiting for Judson to simmer down, Orlando gazed at Nancy with deep affection, "Lena, it's getting late. Let me drive you home."

Nancy arched an eyebrow, not even bothering to open her mouth to reply.

Judson immediately stepped before her, a cold smirk on his face. "Thanks, but no need. I’ll take my wife home."

He grabbed Nancy's hand, pulling her up, "Babe, let's head home!"

As his words fell, he didn't give Nancy a chance to speak and tugged her away.

Orlando watched, a surge of irritation chasing his thoughts as he followed them out.

"Nancy, wait here for me. I'll bring the car around," Judson said, holding Nancy's hand but shooting Orlando a warning look. As if to say: Try to take my wife, I dare you!

As he watched Judson walk away, frustration bubbled up in Orlando, and he turned to Nancy with a laugh laced with sarcasm. "Lena, where on earth did you find this guy?"

"He showed up on my doorstep," Nancy replied coldly.

Orlando didn’t know what to say in response.

Seeing Nancy's sincere look, Orlando couldn't resist saying, "A doorstep delivery isn't usually high quality. Maybe it's time to let him go. I'm off then."

Why did Judson get to be the one when Nancy treated him merely as a business partner? In what way was he inferior to Judson?

While standing there, Nancy caught Orlando's words, her gaze inadvertently falling on Judson in the distance, a subtle confusion in her eyes.

Perhaps it was best to let Judson go sooner rather than later. After all, his dependency on her was nothing but a facade. They weren't husband and wife.

Meanwhile, in the shadows, a black car lurked.
