Chapter 404
It could be a substitute for human blood.
However, it also had great side effects.
Oneida looked at the blood in her hand with a cold look.
She poured the artificial blood directly into the container prepared by the nurse and then looked down at the nurse, who was lying on the floor.
Oneida thought about something for a while.
Then she slowly squatted down.
She opened her mouth slightly as if she was whispering something in the nurse’s ear.
Oneida was hypnotizing the nurse.
She was going to hypnotize the nurse to change her memory.
So her plan would be foolproof.
When it was almost done, Oneida stood up and sat on a chair beside her.
After about a minute, the nurse slowly opened her eyes and frowned. It seemed that she was in a trance.
She looked around subconsciously and then turned to Oneida. “You…”
She couldn’t remember what just happened.
She felt something was strange.
Oneida just sat quietly and said calmly, “You were drawing my blood and suddenly, you passed out.”
The nurse felt a little bit confused. She got up from the ground. “Did I pass
out?”
The nurse asked, “How did I pass out?” She couldn’t remember what happened but she subconsciously thought what Oneida said was right.
She turned to Oneida and asked in a low voice, “Where is your blood then?”
Oneida shook her head. “I’ve pulled out the needle.”
After saying that, she pointed at the blood beside her and said, “This is my blood that was just drawn out of me. Hurry up and save the patient.”
Oneida looked very composed.
The nurse glanced at her and didn’t say anything more. She picked up the tube of blood and left directly.
Oneida looked at the nurse’s back and smiled.
She walked out of the office.
Seeing that Oneida was back, Edmund couldn’t help but run to her and ask her worriedly, “Oneida, how are you feeling?
“Are you feeling okay?”

Chapter 404
Oneida shook her head and smiled, “Don’t worry. I’m fine.”
She hadn’t lost a drop of blood after all.
Seeing that she looked fine, Edmund felt relieved.
He looked at Oneida with a complicated look and said, “Oneida, have a question.”
Oneida glanced at him casually and frowned slightly, “Go ahead

Edmund said hesitantly, “You…” In the end, he bit his lips and said. “Why did you save Jennifer? Don’t you hate her?”
Hearing this, Oneida froze.
She was silent for a moment before she said with a convincing smile, “Yes, I hate her. But why do you think I saved her life?”
Oneida thought Edmund must have noticed something.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t have asked her this question..
But it didn’t matter if he knew the truth. After all, he was her brother.
Hearing Oneida’s questions, Edmund was confused.
He wondered if his sister was saving Jennifer or not.
However, he didn’t ask more questions. He forced a smile. “Whatever your plan is, I will support you.”
Oneida glanced at him with a glimmer of a smile in her eyes.
Soon.
Jennifer was pushed out of the emergency room.
She was lying on the snow–white hospital bed and was pushed out by the doctors and nurses.
It seemed that the operation was a successful one.
A doctor in a white lab coat walked up to Oneida and said, “Thanks to your blood, the patient survived. She is no longer in danger. You need to take good care of her.”
Oneida nodded slightly.
Soon, Jennifer was pushed into a ward.
Seeing this, Edmund couldn’t help but look at Oneida and ask her worriedly, “Oneida, how much blood did you give her?”
Oneida replied with an unconvincing smile, “Not much.”
Not even a drop, to be precise.
She glanced at the ward and said with a meaningful smile, “Let’s go check up on her.”
After saying that, she followed the doctors and nurses into the ward.
Seeing this, Edmund hurriedly followed up with her.
After the doctors and nurses did everything they were supposed to do for Jennifer, they left the ward.

Chapter 401
Only Oneida, Edmund, and Jennifer were left in the room.
Jennifer lay quietly on the bed with her eyes closed and her face pale. She looked extremely weak.
Suddenly, Oneida said, “Edmund.”
Edmund turned to her subconsciously. “Oneida.”
Oneida said lightly, “Give us a moment alone.”
Edmund froze for a moment.
He knew his sister was going to do something that she didn’t want him to know.
Thinking about this, Edmund nodded. “Okay, I’ll be waiting for you outside.”
After Edmund left, Oneida and Jennifer were the only two people in this ward.
Oneida stood upright, looking down at Jennifer who was lying on the hospital bed.
She waited patiently for a minute.
She guessed that Jennifer would wake up soon.
Sure enough, Jennifer suddenly slowly opened her eyes.
Her eyes were empty and unfocused. She stared at the ceiling for a while and then slowly came to her senses.
Jennifer realized she wasn’t dead. She was still alive.
Instantly, joy overwhelmed her.
But soon, she saw the person standing by the bed.
Jennifer looked up at the person beside the bed.
Jennifer made out Oneida’s face. She frowned slightly with a trace of surprise in her eyes. “Oneida.”
She didn’t expect Oneida to be here.
When she was extremely weak, she asked the doctor to call Oneida but she was not sure.
