If he came in person, it’d be even harder for them to handle him. 

Tatiana was the first to compromise. “Bring her home with you then. She needs to be taught a lesson.” 

With that, she glared at Oneida angrily. 

Nathan and Hazel thought the same way. 

They wanted this matter to be resolved quickly and things could be settled as soon as possible without causing any further 

commotion. 

It wouldn’t be a big loss if only Oneida was sacrificed to calm the Lindt family’s anger down. 

The elderly couple didn’t have much affection for Oneida. 

After all, she didn’t grow up with them and didn’t have any outstanding talents or qualities that set her apart from their other granddaughters. 

Nathan sighted and said, “If that’s the case, then we’ll do it your way.” 

Hazel didn’t object either. 

Lucas was the only one who was in a dilemma. 

He didn’t want his daughter to be taken away. 

However, there was no better way at the moment. 

Oneida, on the other hand, was completely calm. 

She stood there like an outsider with a nonchalant manner and a faint expression on her face. 

It was as if the matter had nothing to do with her. 

Lucas pulled his daughter over and said in a low voice, “Why don’t you go to Jackson and tell him about the situation? After all, he’s your husband. He’ll definitely help you.” 

The Chaser family might fear the Lindt family’s influence, but the Bane family was a different story. 

After all, the Bane family was the most prominent family in Jeahron. No matter how powerful the Lindt family was, it couldn’t surpass the Bane family. 

This matter could only be resolved if the Bane family stepped in 

However, Oneida shook her head. 

She didn’t want to trouble Jackson. 

“Dad, I’ll go to the Lindt residence. It’s okay.” Oneida had already made up her mind, and she decided to follow Hailey to the Lindt residence. 

Upon hearing what Oneida said, Lucas didn’t know what else to say. 

“What are you two whispering about? Are you done yet?” Hailey cold voice sounded from behind, and her tone was a little impatient.

Oneida walked past Lucas and went straight to Hailey. She replied faintly, “I’ll go with you.” 

With a smug smile, Hailey thought to herself, “They finally realize who they’re dealing with.” 

Oneida was thus taken to the Lindt residence by Hailey. 

As she expected, the Lindt family’s mansion was extravagant, grand, and magnificent. 

As soon as she entered, she bumped into Michael who had just returned from the hospital.

He was sitting in a wheelchair, covered in plaster. If it weren’t for his face being exposed, Oneida wouldn’t have recognized him. 

However, that exposed face was bruised, swollen, and extremely ugly. 

Oneida sneered inwardly. 

She wondered how brutal that person was for beating someone so badly. 

However, she found it oddly satisfying. 

As soon as Michael saw Oneida, his eyes immediately widened, and his face contorted in anger. If it weren’t for his broken leg, he would’ve charged toward her in an instant. “Oneida, you finally showed up! I’m going to settle the score with you!” 

Hailey immediately stepped forward to comfort him, “All right. You should go back and rest well to recover. Your grandpa and I will help you get justice.” 

However, Michael was still too furious to calm down. “Mom, you can’t go easy on her! Otherwise, I would’ve suffered for nothing… 

Upon hearing his words, Hailey suddenly felt sorry for him. “Don’t worry. I won’t let you get beaten up for nothing.”
