Chapter 78 

After pondering for a long time, Tobias eventually had to send someone to summon Michael there. 

Michael was wheeled into the room by Hailey since he was unable to walk. 

“Grandpa, what exactly were you thinking?” Michael assumed that Tobias had summoned him to offer him an explanation, so he entered the room as he spoke furiously. “How could you let Oneida strut away just like that? Did I suffer through all this pain for nothing?” 

“He’s right, Dad…” Hailey also began to speak up for her son. “Michael was beaten up like this by someone else…” 

Frowning heavily, Tobias roared angrily, “Shut up, both of you!” Furrowing his eyebrows heavily, Tobias continued in a firm tone, “The reason you were beaten up like this has nothing to do with Oneida. Furthermore, I finally understood that she was the real victim. You almost killed her by attempting to tamper with her race car. I had no idea about this from the start!” 

“Grandpa…” Feeling a bit guilty, Michael pursed his lips. “I–I was just…” 

“Just admit that what you’ve done was wrong!” Tobias took out the wooden stick with metal spikes and glared fiercely at Michael. “As a result of your wrongdoing, you must be punished!” 

As soon as he finished speaking, the wooden stick landed heavily on Michael’s body. 

“Ah!” Michael cried out in pain and rolled down from the wheelchair. 

“What are you doing, Dad?” Hailey was utterly shocked and reached out to help her son. 

“Don’t you dare to interfere in this!” Tobias glared fiercely at her. 

Hailey didn’t dare to move anymore. All she could do was watch as Tobias punished her son. 

As a result, Michael was hit by the wooden stick that had initially been prepared for Oneida. 

Soon, blood gushed out quickly. 

Michael was badly beaten to the point where his skin had been ripped apart, and blood was all over his cast. 

It was so painful that he couldn’t utter a word, so he had to lie on the ground and wail, seemingly weak and pitiful. 

Nevertheless, Tobias didn’t intend on stopping his beating at all. The stick in his hand was raised again and landed on Michael’s body! 

“My good–for–nothing grandson has messed with so many people at one time! Besides Oneida, he messed with the Bane family, too!” Tobias cursed inwardly. 

If he didn’t do something about it or discipline Michael well, he wouldn’t be able to explain it to Oneida and the Bane family. 

“Please stop hitting him, Dad. That should be enough to punish him.” Hailey was shocked to tears by what she saw. Her face was pale and awful as she said, “Michael has already realized his mistakes…” 

However, it seemed that Tobias did not hear her words. Shaking the wooden stick in his hand, Tobias roared angrily, “I’m doing this for your good! You’d be too ashamed to continue studying at Imperial Star University. I will handle the school transfer procedure for you tomorrow. You better leave as soon as possible so that you don’t have to disgrace yourself any further!” 

Once everything was over, Tobias recollected himself and brought some expensive gifts before rushing over to the Chaser 

residence.
