The Strong Bond novel Chapter 19

"You forgot something" He whispers in a husky tone looking down at her confused expression. Before Lena could ask what he was talking about Damian places his hands on her delicate face, and captures her lips with his own. Lena felt her entire body melt to putty under Damian's passionate kiss. When Damian pulled back so they both could catch their breath he chuckled at Lena's little whimper, from not wanting to end the kiss.

"I would love nothing more to kiss you all night my beautiful mate, but you need to get home before your father sends out all the warriors to look for you" He reminds her before placing a kiss on her forehead, then her nose, and her lips. Lena just pouts knowing he was right, but loved how his simple kisses left tingles where his lips touched.

"I'll have two of my men follow you home" Damian tells her. At first Lena tells him she was fine on her own, and didn't need to waste his men's time. Damian reminded her that she was his mate and it's his duty to make sure she was safe. After another goodbye kiss, Damian watched as his two most trusted men lead his mate home.

The following week Lena was in dreamland during school every time she thought of her date with Damian. She still hasn't told anyone that she had a mate, and wasn't sure how people would react once they knew who it is. She hasn't seen him since their date, but he has texted her a few times to check in on her. He told her she was welcome over anytime, but she just didn't want to show up randomly looking like a clingy mate. Though most mates come off as clingy, because of the bond they have. But Lena never wanted to live a life that revolves around her mate like she seen happen with others around her growing up. It was hard to control her wolf when it came to Damian, and the need to be near him and touch him. Even if he wasn't her mate what women wouldn't want to be touch or be around the Greek looking god? Just thinking about him had Lena legs clenching together.

"Earth to Lena" Blair says a little louder waving her hand in front of her cousins' face.

"Hmm?" Lena hums still in a daze.

"You have been spacey all week. What has you in la la land?" Blair asks taking a bite of her sandwich.

"Huh? Um, nothing. I just got a lot of school work" She lies not waiting to tell her big mouth cousin about her mate.

"Why is that?" Lena questions raising an eye brow at her.

"Um hello, imagine all the unmated males that will be there" She states earning an eye roll from Lena and a chuckle from Keith.

After school Lena went home to change out of her uniform before heading over to Damian's territory. This was a great excuse to go over there and see him without just showing up for no reason making things awkward. Plus she also realized she never got to ask questions that night when they were out. She still wanted to know why he was against having a mate, and know about his life.

Stepping up to the Blackhaw pack house door Lena lifts her fist and knocks a couple of times. She stood there feeling excited and nervous at the same time. After a few minutes of no one answering the door, Lena knocks again. Still no one was answering so she decided to see if the door was unlock. Not surprised that it was, she walks in to the quiet house saying "Hello?" to see if anyone would answer. The only response she got was the echo of her voice, so she decided to look for Damian in his office. When she came to his office doors that were slightly opened there was moaning from a female. Lena froze as her heart started to pound fiercely, as a sick feeling washed over her. She hoped it wasn't what she thought, but when the sound of male grunts entered her ears making her heart shatter. Her wolf was scratching to get out wanting to rip apart the women who was touching their mate, but Lena held her back knowing it takes two to tango. Taking a deep breath before making her next move. Lena needed to prove to herself that Damian wasn't the vindictive dick that others thought he was. Please let this all be a misunderstanding she chanted in her head with her eyes shut tight as she opens the door. Her hand was a little shaky on the door handle as she opens it enough to see inside Damian's office. The smell of sex invaded her nose making bile rise in her throat as the sounds of moans and grunts grew louder. Finally growing the courage to open her eyes to see the back of Damian's desk chair was facing her. She couldn't see much but dark brown hair, and the snotty blonde from last week as her head falls back. Lena sucked in a breath as she takes in the scene before her catching the blonde's attention.
