"Look let's forget about it, okay!" Lena quickly says, wishing this day never happened.
"No, I want to know why she would be calling my name while riding another man. Did she know you saw them?" He asks trying to control his temper.
"Yes" She answers not wanting to lie to him. "Look, she probably just trying to upset me, because when I ran into her the day of our date she told me not to waste my time. That you will end up using me like the rest of them, and go back to her" She states hoping he would understand how girls work.
"WHAT? Why didn't you say something" He shouts making her flinch.
"I didn't want it to ruin our night" She admits looking down at her hands.
Damian sighs when he realizes he's taking his anger out on the wrong person. He reaches out putting two fingers under her chin and lifts her head up to face him. She looks up to him through her thick long lashes as he stares down at her. "I'm sorry little red I didn't mean to yell at you. I'm not mad at you for any of this. I'm angry at the lies that are coming from a pack member, and the situation you should never have to walk in on" He explains in a calm tone as he pulls her body into his. Lena goes to Damian without a fight as he wraps his thick long arms around her body. He barriers his face into her neck her breathing in her scent to help relax his wolf. She feels her body relax at the contact of her mate, making all her worries vanish. "She will be dealt with I promise you that" He states in her neck.
"Can't we forget about it? She doesn't know I'm your mate, and if you guys were to-"She starts to say, but Damian pulls back to face her, and cuts her words short.
"I never been with her, and I never wanted to for that matter" He tells her not wanting her to think such things. "What she did can't be let go. She betrayed her Alpha, and her future Luna". Lena stared up at him as he spoke knowing he was right, but hearing him call her future Luna had her stomach doing flip flops. She knew he wanted to start over, but she didn't want to get her hopes up. Hearing him say that out loud gave her hope that he did want her as a mate, and in his future. But she wouldn't show her excitement just in case she was over thinking things like she has before. "Okay" is all she says before bearing her face into his rock-hard chest, and inhaling his mouth watering scent.
.
Lena was laying on Damian's bed as she waited for him to finish his meeting with Alpha Pierce. She was lost in thought when she felt the vibration of her phone in her pant pockets. Pulling out her phone she noticed she had a text from Blair.
Damian was growing very impatient with Alpha Pierce during their meeting. He wanted to make him leave, and not return till he bought him a new chair. But he figured he better just get this meeting over with now, so he doesn't have to see his face again.
"So with all that said I'll keep my end of the deal if you keep yours" Pierce states as he stands up from the tainted chair. Damian couldn't stand being in his office after earlier, and won't be going back in there till it's fully disinfected. Standing up as well Damian mentally groans knowing he would have to see Alpha Pierce again.
"Yes, my pack will be there this weekend" He says trying not to sound annoyed.
"Don't forget to bring wild cat too" Pierce adds with a grin. Damian lets a threating snarl at his interest in his mate, which catches Pierce attention.
"Why so possessive of the she-wolf? Unless she's your mate?" He questions raising an eye brow at him. Damian doesn't answer right away, because he didn't want anyone knowing he had a mate. He wasn't ashamed of Lena as his mate. If anything he was proud and felt like he was the luckiest wolf in the world. He just wasn't sure if it was safe for her if his enemies learned he had a mate, and using it to their advantage. Then on the other hand he didn't want unmated males to think she was available. He knew what his answer was, and even though he would prefer talking it over with Lena about this. But the way Pierce seemed so intrigued with his mate has him speaking before he fully thinks it through.
