The Strong Bond novel Chapter 23

Walking down the stairs Lena heard voices in deep conversation. She wondered who else was here knowing they needed to get going to the party. Making to the bottom step she saw her father, brother, Alpha Grayson, and Keith talking among themselves. She wondered why they were, but didn't bother interrupting them why they were most likely talking about business. So, she walked over to her mother who was talking to the Luna.

"Don't you ladies look nice tonight" Lena says walking up to them. Both women wore elegant dresses.

"Thank you, Lena, my dear. You look very beautiful in your red dress as well. I'm sure you will have a lot of eyes on you at the party" Luna says smiling before hugging her. Lena was wearing a long loose red dress with red matching heels. Her hair was in loose curls that fall over her exposed shoulders, because the straps were made to fall to the side. Once she saw the dress at the store she knew it was the one for a few different reasons.

"Thank you, Luna," Lena replies with a smile.

"Oh, please dear call me Allie" Luna tells her waving off the title.

"You, and red! But, you look very beautiful like always" Lena's mother says happily.

"Everyone ready?" Alpha Keith asks walking up to his mate. All the men were wearing black dress pants and white dress up shirts with ties.

"We are riding with the Grayson's while you and your brother ride with Keith and the others" Lena's father states walking up to her, and placing a kiss on her head. She didn't bother asking why they didn't ride themselves, and just knew to go along with it.

"Nice dress" Jay says nudging his little sister. Her brother always like to pick on her when she dresses up, because she used to always play like the boys.

"Nice- "Lena starts as she looks up and down before replaying "nothing" and walks off.

"Hey that wasn't very lady like missy" Jay calls out faking a hurt expression. Ignoring her nitwitted brother, she preceded her way to Keith's SUV who was holding the door for her. "You look amazing as always Miss. Evans" Keith tells her with a big smile, and Lena couldn't help but return the smile back. "You don't clean up to bad yourself Mr. Grayson" She answers back winking. "You can think my mother" He chuckles as he helps her in. Sliding into the seat she found her cousins Keegan, and a very unhappy Blair.

"What's wrong with her?" Lena asks Keegan.

"Yes?" Lena answers wondering why she was being pointed out.

"Can you please come with me" The woman asks nicely. Keith held on Lena's arm tighten before speaking up "Why?"

"Excuse my matters. She's been seated in another location" She answers back politely.

"Why isn't she seated with her pack?" The Luna asks concerned.

"I'm not sure honestly. I was just told that certain parties will be seated at Alpha Pierces table" She replies with apological expression.

"It's okay, I don't mind" Lena quickly spoke up before there was any more questions. Her Alpha nodded, and she told Keith she would look for him later.
