"I don't know how that's going to turn out Nana. Plus, do mom and dad know the true story?" Lena points out now wondering if her parents also kept this from her the whole time.
"They pretty much know everything besides the recent vampire attack on you, and the fact that you've been fated to Damien. I will agree your father probably will not be too thrilled once he hears, but I think he will come around knowing Damian will do anything to keep you safe" Clair reassures her.
"Yeah because he has no choice" Lena mumbles to herself.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Damian spoke up shocked at her comment.
"Nothing, never mind" Lena says shaking her head not wanting to go there right now with him. "So is there anything else I need to know at the moment?" She directed the question to her Nana.
"Just that you need to finish school sooner than the rest of your classmates, and begin training. But your training will be different from other warriors training, because this gene is more genetic key for vampires. It gives you other unique gifts that no other warrior has" Clair informs her.
"Oh great more stuff to learn, and add to my already full plate. I can't wait" Lena says sarcastically.
"You should get home, and rest dear child. I know this is a lot to process, and now that you know we really should start getting everything in motion" Claire told her as she stood up from her chair. Lena just nodded feeling to drain to comment back. Standing up walking over to her grandmother giving her a hug, and kiss on the cheek. Damian went to go follow Lena out, but Claire told him she needed to talk to him. He told her he would be right back, because there was something he needed to discuss with Lena.
"Hold it right there" Damian says grabbing on to Lena's arm.
"What?" Lena bit out.
Damian stood there listening to Lena's outrageous conclusions about them being paired together. Does she not feel what he feels when they're around each other? Is this her way of telling him that she didn't feel as strongly as he did? He thought to himself. The near thought pain him deeply. Maybe it was time for him to truly tell her how he truly felt about her. He was just about speak when he noticed her running away from him again. Now he had enough, letting a growl rip through him as he orders her to stop. Regardless he wasn't her alpha, he was ranked higher than her own alpha giving her no other choice but to stop in her tracks.
"Will you stop running away for me" he growled annoyed.
"I can't believe you just used your alpha tone on me" she says through clenched teeth balling her hands up in fists.
"Didn't really give me any choice Lena. You keep running away before I can get a chance explain anything" he snapped back at her.
