Hendrix’s words stunned Noelle. 

And he glanced at her suddenly. 

That look made Noelle tense up instantly. It was as if she were eagerly trying to get involved with him in some 

way. 

Noelle bit her lip and was about to say something, but Hendrix spoke first, “I just don’t want you getting too close to Brandon. Now that Sandra is engaged to Maxwell, I don’t want to become fodder for their gossip or used for publicity. Do you understand?” 

His analysis remained calm and collected.

When Jennifer called, Noelle was on the hotel bed.

“No. I want to rest.”

Noelle bit her lip, then finally said, “Okay. Could you please bring me some painkillers?” 

“Oh? Are you feeling unwell?” 

“Menstrual cramps. Does that count?” 

The phone was quickly hung up, and Noelle lay back down on the bed. 

The room she was in now had been arranged by Hendrix. 

They had changed to another hotel, a luxurious suite with a large bed. Standing by the window, she could take in the entire view of Sintrun. 

However, Noelle had no mood to admire it. She lay on the bed for a while, and soon, Jennifer arrived. 

Apart from some painkillers, she got soup as well. 

“Sorry. I don’t know about your body conditions. What if I sleep here for the night? Then, I can take good care of you,” said Jennifer. 

“It’s fine.” Noelle shook her hand. “I just have some stomach problems. Don’t need to be so worried.” 

“It’s not me who’s worried,” Jennifer said with a laugh. “I’m just an employee, so of course, I have to help Mr. Freeman out.” 

Her words caught Noelle off guard for a moment. Then, she let out a soft laugh. “You’ve got it wrong. Between him and me.”
