The hospital at midnight carried an eerie and unsettling atmosphere.The glaring emergency light at the end of the corridor, glowing like fresh blood, tightened the knot in on’s chest. 

To Noelle’s surprise, the person sitting outside the emergency room wasn’t just Dan but also Sandra. There seemed to be blood on her clothes, and her face was pale. 

The moment she saw Hendrix, she rushed toward him. “Rix” 

It was like she had found her relief, and tears rolled down her cheeks as she said, “I You’re finally here. What should we do? Madam Freeman seems to be badly injured. Do you think she…” 

Hendrix glanced at her, then looked at Dan by his side. 

“The accident is still under investigation, but according to the witnesses, there were no other cars at that time. Madam Freeman’s car suddenly lost control.” Dan sounded hesitant as he added, “Mr. Sanchez was also in the car. The doctor has announced that he has passed.” 

Dan tried to be as indirect as possible, but Hendrix’s face turned even uglier. 

Sandra stepped forward and said, “Rix, shouldn’t you address the media situation first? If this gets out, they’re bound to say some unpleasant things!”

Hendrix turned to her, his tone calm but with an underlying edge, as though genuinely asking or perhaps issuing 

a threat. 

Sandra, seemingly oblivious to the tension, pressed on, “Madam Freeman and a stranger were in a car accident. The media will definitely run wild with speculation over something like this.” 

She then suddenly turned her attention to Noelle. “And Noelle, as someone who knew about this, why didn’t you stop Madam Freeman?” 

Noelle had been quietly standing by Hendrix’s side all this time, aware that words of comfort wouldn’t help in a situation like this. Her presence alone seemed more meaningful than anything she could say. 

However, after hearing Sandra’s accusation, her composure faltered slightly as she was slightly stunned. 

Before she could react, Sandra continued, “You knew Madan Freeman would leave tonight, right?” 

Sandra’s words led to Hendrix deepening his frown as he turned to Noelle with a sharp gaze.

Noelle opened her mouth and finally said, “Yes…” 

“Then, do you know?” Sandra’s voice suddenly grew agitated. “Madam Freeman wasn’t planning to leave. She was planning to die with Lloyd Sanchez!
