When Hendrix finished speaking, Noelle remained quiet for a long time. 

The door behind her had not fully closed, and the cold wind seeping in contrasted sharply with the warm air inside. 

Noelle couldn’t tell whether her body was cold or hot. She only felt her mind was blank. 

After a long while, she finally found her voice. “So, you don’t want to hear my explanation anymore, do you?” 

Hendrix looked at her. “Noelle, in this world, many things are judged by the consequences.” 

As his words sank in, Noelle lowered her head and gave a small, bitter laugh.

Noelle glanced at him and then at the item in his hand. 

“Also, I’ve bought the auction piece from before. I’ll have it sent to you tomorrow.” 

Hendrix finished speaking, but Noelle didn’t reach out to take it.
