Noelle had forgotten how Hendrix had answered at the time, but what she clearly remembered was that later, Hendrix had lost control, and they switched positions. As a result, she truly missed the morning meeting 

However, when she arrived at the office, Oliver told her that the meeting had been pushed back. She wasn’t surprised at all. Oliver went on to talk about other work arrangements, but his eyes kept drifting back to Noelle. 

Noelle couldn’t help but frown. 

Just as she was about to lose her temper, Oliver finally couldn’t help but ask, “Do you need some concealer or anything of the like?” 

Noelle froze for a moment, and it was only then that she finally noticed the marks on her neck. She quickly pulled her collar tighter with one hand and picked up her phone with the other. 

“What are you? A dog?” 

Noelle had already typed out the message, but after a brief pause, she deleted it. Without a change in expression, she put her phone back and pulled her collar higher. 

Oliver had already left, but when he returned, he thoughtfully handed her a tube of concealer. 

“Don’t worry. I’ve already asked my girlfriend. She said this one works really well,” Oliver said. 

Noelle rolled her eyes but still took the concealer from him. 

“I also heard some gossip earlier,” Oliver continued. 

“What gossip?” 

“Lana announced her breakup with Mr. Freeman. It’s all over Twitter.” 

“Oh.” 

Noelle’s response was calm, showing no sign of surprise. 

Oliver fell silent, his eyes fixed on her. 

Noelle finally couldn’t hold back and threw the file in her hand at him. “If you have something to say, just say it. Keep staring at me like that, and I swear I’ll fire you.” 

“Look at you, getting all worked up,” said Oliver, clicking his tongue. “I was just guessing before, 

fore, but now I‘ 

I’m sure. You knew about this all along, didn’t you? Was Mr. Freeman the one who told you? So, he really was the one who planned all of this?” 

Noelle frowned. 

“The news just came out this morning Amity Group conducted a major internal share restructuring. Remember last year when Amity Group went through a rough time with the whole Mrs. Freeman incident?. 

“Mr. Freeman didn’t do anything back then. He didn’t even try to suppress or clarify those negative rumors. 

“Everyone thought he was guilty but turns out, it was part of his plan all along. After all, Amity Group has been around for decades, and there are certainly quite a few old–timers with questionable connections. 

“With this move, Mr. Freeman had managed to carry out a major overhaul within the company. 

“Now, Amity Group is basically filled with those loyal to him. I heard that the others had a feeling something like this was going to happen, so they tried all sorts of ways to get on Mr. Freeman’s good side.
