Noelle’s words were soon proven true. 

The day after the project was handed over to Julio, Amity Group notified them that work would resume. 

Although Noelle’s responsibilities had been transferred to Julio, she was still the general manager of the subsidiary, so some processes still had to go through her. 

Two days later, Julio claimed that there were still some unclear aspects of the handover. Since Noelle was on leave preparing for her wedding, he decided to take Oliver from her side.

Noelle finally came to her senses. “What do you mean? Julie ran off with the money?” 

“From what it looks like… yes.” 

“Have you reported it to the police?” 

“Not yet. We’re still not sure…” 

“Whether you’re sure or not, if we can’t reach him and the money’s gone, you have to report it to the police. Immediately!” Noelle said without hesitation. 

“Anyone in his position would have taken more than just the visible funds. Get in touch with the finance department and start asset and debt reconciliation right now!” 

As she spoke, Noelle got up from the bed, putting on her coat as she walked out. 

Although she had been staying in Coppersville recently, she hadn’t returned to the Swanson residence, instead opting to stay in a hotel. But tonight, she had no choice but to go back. 

To her surprise, Craig hadn’t slept, either. The study and living room were both brightly lit.
