Noelle’s expression changed as she heard Hendrix’s words, and she turned to look at him. 

Her expression made Hendrix feel like something was stabbing into his heart. It seemed like he was right. 

That contractual relationship seemed more than that now. Noelle had fallen for Dylan. If not, what could explain the look in her eyes now? 

Noelle didn’t even react this way when he brought up her and Elm Group. 

The dull pain quickly spread across Hendrix’s chest, accompanied by a familiar metallic taste. His Adam’s apple bobbed a few times, and after taking several deep breaths, be finally managed to suppress the feeling and said, “It seems like you really care about him.” 

“Hendrix, this is between us. Can you stop being so despicable and dragging innocent people into this mess?” 

“Innocent?” Hendrix chuckled. “It seems like you really don’t know much about your fiancé. Do you know what he’s been doing behind your back?” 

Before Noelle could respond, Hendrix handed her a file. “Take a look.” 

Noelle glanced down at it but didn’t make a move. 

Hendrix smiled. “If you don’t want to look, that’s fine. I’ve already organized it. I’ll just pass it on to the prosecutor’s office. But I wonder. If Dylan finds out you could have stopped it but didn’t, would he be angry at you? 

Noelle finally opened the file. When she saw the transaction records, photos, and chat logs on the paper, her face grew even paler. She suddenly looked at Hendrix. “What is this?” 

“What’s the matter? You don’t understand?” Hendrix smiled slightly. 

“Let me explain it to you. Simply put, Mr. York, the painter you’ve always admired, has had his paintings circulated in unusual ways in the market, even abroad. The transactions here are evidence, and your ‘innocent‘ fiancé has been playing the role of the middleman in all of this. 

“Their business isn’t just domestic. As you can see, there are accounts abroad as well. This means that he and his grandfather have been helping certain people move assets and launder money…” 

“Enough!” Noelle interrupted him. Her voice was trembling, and her face was as pale as a ghost. 

Hendrix didn’t continue speaking but narrowed his eyes, watching her. 

“How do I know what you’re saying is true?” 

“You don’t have to believe me,” Hendrix replied with a faint smile. “After all, verifying these things isn’t your job. Professional matters should be left to professionals, right? 

Noelle fell silent. 

Hendrix leaned back, his eyes fixed on her reaction. 

“If it’s true, what are you planning to do? Are you really going to report Dylan?”
