Chapter 456

“Mommy, Mommy, Mominy!”

Noelle was in the kitchen cooking and didn’t hear Rosie calling her at first. It wasn’t until the little girl pulled her pants up and stood outside the kitchen door with a frown that Noelle finally noticed her.

“Mommy, why are you ignoring me?”

“Sorry, sweetheart.” Noelle quickly turned off the range hood. “What’s the matter?”

“I just finished pooping and need help wiping my butt.”

Noelle glanced at her already pulled–up pants and let out a helpless chuckle. “Alright. Let’s change into a fresh pair while we’re at it, okay?”

Rose turned to look at her pants. She then pursed her lips and fell silent.

Noelle didn’t say anything more and simply took her by the hand and led her to the bathroom.

Just as she finished changing her, the doorbell rang.

“It must be Seline!” Rose immediately cried out excitedly and ran toward the door.

When she saw the visitor, she cheered out loud, “Seline!”

“Oh, you’re as sweet as ever, Rosie!” Pleased, Seline pinched the little girl’s cheek. “So, tell me. Have you thought about me lately?”

Rosie nodded vigorously.

“Alright. Then, tell me. How did you do it?” Seline asked.

Rosie hadn’t expected the question, and for a moment, she looked stumped. She was only two years old, after all. She quickly turned to Noelle for help.

But Noelle had no intention of stepping in. She simply leaned against the doorway with a smile, as if she was curious to see what Rosie would say.

Rosie suddenly had an idea. She pointed to her temple and told Seline, “I think about you with this.”

“Alright, alright. Is there anything you want as a gift, then, my smart cookie? I’ll buy it for you!”

Seline let out a dry laugh and pulled Rosie toward the couch

She had watched Rosie grow up. Back when Rosie was just born, if it hadn’t been for Seline, Noelle wasn’t sure how she would have made it through those days. So now, Rosie was extremely close to Seline.

Even at mealtime, they had to sit together so that they could feed each other.

“Since you love Seline so much, why don’t you go sleep at her place tonight?” Noelle suggested.

Rosie immediately nodded.

But Seline quickly waved her hands. “Forget it. We’ve tried that before, remember? And I had to bring her back at 2:00 am. This little rascal wants to play with me, but when it comes to sleeping, she still needs her mom.”

Noelle looked at Rosie. “Do you still want to go?”

Just moments ago, Rosie had agreed without hesitation. But now that Seline had brought up the memory of their last sleepover, she suddenly seemed uncertain.
