Soon, they reached the amusement park.

Even though it was a weekday, the place was still bustling with people. But Hendrix had made arrangements in advance, so as soon as they arrived, staff members came out to greet them.

They were given exclusive access to whatever ride Rosie wanted to go on, so they didn't have to wait in line at all. Noelle actually didn't want to take advantage of this. After all, she and Hendrix were no longer together.

Not to mention, this was his first time taking Rosie to the amusement park, and it would likely be his last. So, Noelle didn't want Rosie to get used to this kind of treatment or develop any false expectations.

But right now, Rosie was clearly excited, and standing in long lines under the sun wouldn't be good for her health, either. So, Noelle bit her tongue and stayed silent.

Once inside the park, Hendrix took Rosie to the carousel first. This particular carousel had a fountain in the center, and at certain points, water jets would spray out.

Rosie had already put on a disposable raincoat, but by the time the ride ended, her bangs still got slightly damp. Noelle wanted to dry her hair, but Rosie didn't seem to notice. Instead, she turned to Hendrix and said, "I want to go again."

"Sure," Hendrix agreed without hesitation.

Rosie immediately reached for Noelle's hand, but Hendrix said, "Your mommy might be tired now, so how about I go with you instead?"

Rosie's smile faded slightly when she heard his words. She turned to look at Noelle, who remained silent. After a moment of hesitation, the little girl finally nodded.

Only then did Hendrix hold out his hand to her. The unfamiliar palm, clearly much larger than Noelle's, made Rosie pause. Instead of taking his hand, she hesitated for a moment before grabbing onto his sleeve.

Hendrix didn't seem to mind and led her through the exclusive entrance.

Although Rosie was still somewhat wary of him, once they were on the carousel, she allowed him to sit behind her. He didn't hold her. He simply sat there with his hands reaching around to grip the handlebar.
