Noelle noticed his nervousness. After clenching her hands for a brief moment, she finally said, "The focus of your company for the next few years should be in Coppersville, right?"

Her question caught Dylan off guard. Choosing not to lie, he nodded slowly.

"The thing is—I don't want to move back there," Noelle said. "I really like it in Stormridge. So, the distance would be an issue for us."

"That's not an issue at all, what with all the transportation available. I can come visit you every month.

"Even though Dyno Corporation is still in its early stages, once it stabilizes in a couple of years, I'll naturally look to open subsidiaries in other cities.

"When that time comes, Stormridge will be my first choice," Dylan responded quickly, his tone anxious, as if he had finally found something to hold on to after struggling for so long. He was doing everything he could to cling to it, afraid of being left behind again.

Noelle didn't comment on his response. Instead, she lowered her gaze and said softly, "When I gave birth to Rosie, it took a lot out of me. After that, I went through a very difficult period. So, unless something unexpected happens, I don't plan to have any more children."

"I understand. Don't worry. Like I said before, I'll treat Rosie as my own. Besides, I genuinely like her."

"I don't have feelings for you right now. In fact, I made this decision after considering your circumstances. I may not be able to give you what you want, including emotional reciprocation. Are you really okay with that?"

Noelle was brutally honest with him. She knew these were things most men would find hard to accept. And given Dylan's current status, he could easily find a woman more suitable and accomplished than her.

She didn't want these issues to slowly surface and cause problems later. So, it was better to lay everything out clearly now.
