Noelle had called for a driver to pick her up. But when she got into the car, she realized the person behind the wheel was none other than Hendrix.

By then, she was already in the back seat, and since no one else had noticed Hendrix, Noelle didn't bother to change to the front passenger seat. Instead, she simply closed the door.

Hendrix didn't say anything, either. But after driving for a while, he pulled over to the side of the road. "Come here."

"Aren't we almost home?" Noelle grumbled but still got out of the car. She had intended to move to the front passenger seat, but then she suddenly froze.

Hendrix looked at her strangely. He was about to ask what was wrong when he noticed Noelle's gaze was fixed straight ahead. Immediately sensing something was off, he snapped his head around without hesitation.

Dylan was standing right in front of them. He hadn't expected to run into Noelle, so for a moment, surprise flickered across his face. Then, he started walking toward them.

Seeing this, Hendrix immediately got out of the car. To make sure both of them noticed his presence, he slammed the car door shut with a deafening bang.

The loud thud snapped Noelle out of her thoughts. At the same time, Dylan finally noticed Hendrix, and a frown instantly appeared on his face.

But Hendrix didn't care. He simply walked over to Noelle and pulled her into his arms.

Seeing this, Dylan came to an abrupt halt.

In the end, Hendrix greeted him with a smile. "Mr. Pritchett, what a coincidence."

Instead of responding to him, Dylan slowly shifted his gaze back to Noelle. Only after a while did he smile and say, "Yes. What a coincidence, indeed."

Noelle didn't say anything. Since Hendrix had no interest in trading pleasantries with him, he led Noelle back to the car after curtly stating that they had other matters to attend to.

As soon as he helped Noelle into the passenger seat, he slammed the door shut with the same deafening bang as before.

"You were looking at Dylan like you wanted to say something." Even though Hendrix tried to keep his tone calm, a hint of tension still crept in.

At the same time, he tightened his grip on the steering wheel.

Noelle looked at him for a moment before turning her gaze away. "I wasn't going to say anything. I was just surprised to see him there."

"Is it really that surprising to run into him when he lives in Coopersville now?" Hendrix asked sarcastically.

Noelle narrowed her eyes at his tone. "What are you trying to say?"

Hendrix had a lot more he wanted to ask, but he swallowed them back at her question. In the end, he simply said, "It's nothing. I was just curious."
