Isla didn’t reply directly but turned to Avery with a grin. “Avery, look at your country bumpkin son-in-law. He thinks he can use my money!”

Despite the jest, Avery felt embarrassed and angry.

Avery stared at Daniel, “You’re already embarrassing, and now you want to con Isla out of her money? I’ll knock you out!”
