Stephen looked like he did not want to say anything more, and Melanie did not ask any further. 

They went to the motel that Dylan had stayed at. When the receptionist heard that they were here to get the surveillance footage, he asked them to leave. “Surveillance footage? What footage? We don’t have anything like that here!” 

This place claimed to be a motel, but it was just a residential building next to the hospital that was converted into a motel. It did not have the best facilities. 

Melanie noticed that this place did not have an operating license. 

Stephen shook his head. “There’s nothing we can do here. Let’s check out the other locations.” 

Melanie agreed. Despite feeling disappointed, she did not express it. 

However, she did not want to give up just like that. Dylan had told her quite a few spots. 

The fact that Dylan kept defending Viola was going to be something quite difficult to handle.

Melanie went home to rest for the night. She went to the villa the next day.

Melanie paused. “Mrs. Goldman,” 

Carla said, “Please don’t take Stella’s words seriously from our last meeting. That’s just the way she is.” 

Melanie did not expect Carla to say this to her. She frowned before replying, “Anyone who knows Madam Scott is well aware of what her personality is like. I won’t hold it against her. Besides, even if I wanted to, I probably don’t have the ability to do so.”
