We did not talk much after that. When she was done feeding the baby, I did not take the jacket back. "It's cold today. You're wearing too few layers. Take this jacket with you.”

"What are you going to wear?"

"I'm going back to get some clothes. The temperature is dropping too fast these days. I need to go back and get more thick clothes."

Liz nodded. “Okay."

Before I left, she suddenly asked me," What's your relationship with Matthew?"

"We're just friends," I replied very quickly." I have a husband and a son. Don't treat me like your rival. I hope your family will

remain happy and harmonious."

Liz breathed a long sigh of relief, a smile appearing on her face. "Thanks."

“You don't have to thank me. I owe him too much, so I hope he'll be happy. I believe you can give him that happiness."

After walking out of the hospital, I took a cab home.

There was a stifling sensation in my chest. Was Matthew so obsessed with me? Was he so obsessed that he would even ignore his wife and child?

After going home, I found several warm clothes and put them in a bag. I then went to the kitchen to make several light dishes. I planned to share them with Liz and Matthew in the hospital.

When I arrived at the hospital and got to the ward, I heard the cries of a woman and an infant. Matthew's furious roars intermingled with them.

"I made a mistake. I shouldn't have come. Why did I come when I know you hate me so much? I'll leave with the child right now," Liz sobbed and screamed.

I frowned and pushed open the door of the ward.

When she came in and saw that Liz was gone and had left the child here, she sighed. "You and Mr. Zimmer haven't eaten anything, right, Ms. Lane? I'll watch the baby. You go ahead and have something to eat. I pursed my lips and put the child in her arms. I picked up the lunch box from the side table. "The baby is still here, so Mrs. Zimmer should still be in the hospital.

She’s probably downstairs. Why don't you bring the food to her? Tell her to take care of her body no matter what.”

“Okay, TH do my best to persuade her."

Laney left with the child after saying that.

Matthew and I were the only ones left in the ward. I looked at him with a face full of displeasure.

I was not good at talking sense to somebody, but if I continued to remain silent about it, then I might regret it in the future. In fact, more of it was because I was afraid that he would regret it.

There were many people out there who were conceited because they were loved When this love disappeared, they would then be enlightened. However, it would be too late for them to cherish it then.
