"Okay. The day I’m swept out of the house will be the day you’re ruined." I did not even look up at her as I replied to her while cutting up the vegetables.

"Hmph, we’ll see!" Nicky snorted coldly before also going upstairs.

She did not come down with Theo until after I was done with dinner. The meal was quiet and peaceful...
