"President Lane, I'm still in the hospital. Why are you so anxious to have me go back to work?" Nina's tone was complaining.

Her response made me feel more at ease. Being able to joke around meant that things were heading in a good direction. I smiled brightly. "I'm afraid you’ll forget how to work after being idle for too long."

Shannon embraced Nina, her expression happy. "How could that happen? Our Nina can multitask.”

"The doctor said that I can be discharged from the hospital tomorrow. Give me another day off tomorrow, President Lane. I’ll report on time the day after tomorrow." Nina saluted me.

There was light in her clear eyes. It would be unreasonable of me if I did not agree, so I nodded. "Okay, I'll give you another day."

"Thank you, President Lane. How has the company been doing recently? I heard that you participated in a brand conference. How did it go? Were you selected?"
